On The Water…with Captain Alan
Windy days had little effect on the bite as anglers aboard the Magic enjoyed lots of exciting action. We targeted Spanish mackerel, bluefish and cobia with top-water poppers, we caught snook and redfish to 30″ on live pilchards and we experienced some of the year’s best flounder fishing while using white bucktail jigs. Wow!
My catch-of-the-week photo is a 19″ flounder…

Hooked Up!
I just wanted to thank you for the great couple of days on the water. As usual, I had a great time and loved getting hooked up with some really nice fish. I love the Sarasota area – every time I come back it seems the fishing just gets better. Count on me visiting next Thanksgiving and make sure you’ve scouted out the best spots again. Cheers.
